1. Stand up! stand up for Jesus! Ye soldiers of the cross; Lift high His royal banner, It must not suffer loss: From vict’ry unto vict’ry His army shall He lead, Till every foe is vanquished And Christ is Lord indeed.
Stand up for Jesus Ye soldiers of the cross; Lift high His royal banner, It must not, it must not suffer loss.
2. Stand up! stand up for Jesus! The trumpet call obey; Forth to the mighty conflict In this His glorious day. Ye that are men, now serve Him Against unnumbered foes; Let courage rise with danger. And strength to strength oppose.
3.Stand up! stand up for Jesus! Stand in His strength alone; The arm of flesh will fail you; Ye dare not trust your own. Put on the Gospel armor, And, watching unto prayer, Where duty calls, or danger, Be never wanting there.
4. Stand up! stand up for Jesus! The strife will not be long: This day the noise of battle, The next the victor’s song; To him that overcometh A crown of life shall be; He, with the King of glory, Shall reign eternally.
The battle isn’t fought as humans fight but through faith and prayer. As the song says “flesh will fail you.”
“Get up and prepare for action. Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say. Do not be afraid of them, or I will make you look foolish in the front of them. For see, today I have made you strong like a fortified city that cannot be captured, like an iron pillar or a bronze wall. You will stand against the whole land— the kings, officials, priests, and people of Judah. They will fight you, but they will fail. For I am with you, and I will take care of you. I, the Lord, have spoken!” Jeremiah 1:17-19 NLT – Bible
It’s hard to keep trusting when there isn’t any indication or evidence for what you are hoping will happen and time keeps ticking by. However, this is true faith. There is a promise for those who put their trust in the Lord. They will be trees!
